Your Charter

Mainetain Charters provides guests with a boating adventure they will remember by creating a fun, enthusiastic, friendly atmosphere for every trip.  From families to serious anglers, all are welcome. Captain Ben holds a current USCG license, is a Tidewater Maine Guide, and fully insured. 

• Our trips are active in nature, ie: no trolling and waiting for the bite.   We will teach you to cast and place the live bait or chunks to land you on the stripers or cast for you if you prefer. If using lures, such as plastics, divers, jigs, and plugs we will demonstrate and walk you through the cast and retrieval to get the live action needed to attract the fish to bite.  

• Our trips are for everyone, all you need is a positive mindset and come ready to have fun. 

• We provide everything you need tackle, rods, licenses and the boat is equipped with all required safety gear and life jackets.

• Once Captain Ben receives your “Request to Book” he will give you and call to discuss and book your charter.  

• Once the trip is booked you can expect a call from the Captain the afternoon or evening prior to your trip to discuss the weather forecast, share recent fishing reports, finalize pickup time/location, and answer any questions you may have.  

• The trip payments is made following our charter via cash or VENMO.  No deposit required.

• We depart from the dock across from the Bluebird Ocean Point Inn in East Boothbay or a pickup point that can be discussed when booking your charter.  Fees may apply.

• The Summer Girl is equipped with a marine head (toilet).
